Sarah Quail

I read history at university and qualified subsequently as an archivist. I finished my career as Head of Cultural Services at Portsmouth City Council. I have had published a number of books on Portsmouth’s history by both Phillimore and Co., and Pen and Sword Books Ltd. The latest was Struggle and Suffrage in Portsmouth. Women’s lives and the Fight for Equality (2018). I have served on the Cathedrals Fabric Commission for England, and the Church Buildings Council. I ran Friends Events at Pallant House Gallery for five years and was first elected to Chichester City Council in 2021.
