Elizabeth Hamilton

I started out doing a BSc in Agriculture, lived in Easebourne for 38 years, bringing up my three children and working first as a teacher and then in family businesses. Now with seven grandchildren I understand all the ups and downs and pressures of modern family life. Serving for almost 20 years on Easebourne Parish Council, eight as Chairman, I learnt about local government and represented the parish at the Council’s Planning Committee. I also ran my own business, Pandora, in Midhurst.

Moving to Birdham 14 years ago I joined Birdham Parish Council and was elected to the district’s The Witterings ward. I have been honoured to serve as Chairman of Chichester District Council for the last seven years.

With my husband I have volunteered in the water mill at the Open Air Museum at Singleton, and my hobbies include gardening and walking the footpaths of our beautiful Chichester District.
