To approve as a correct record the minutes of the Alcohol and Entertainment Licensing Committee meeting held on 24 June 2021.

RESOLVED

 

That subject to amending “…Business and planning Act…” to “…Business and Planning Act…”, at paragraph 4, third line, the minutes of the previous meeting held on 24 June 2021 be approved and signed as a correct record.

Declarations of disclosable pecuniary interests, personal interests and prejudicial interests are to be made by members of the Committee in respect of matters on the agenda or this meeting.

Consultation responses to the Council's Draft Statement of Licensing Policy under the Licensing Act 2003 (2022-2027) & Draft Statement of Policy under the Gambling Act 2005 (2022-2025) pdf icon PDF 83 KB

The Alcohol and Entertainment Committee is asked to note that a limited number of responses were received during the consultation period in respect of both the Draft Statement of Licensing Policy under the Licensing Act 2003 and Draft Statement of Policy under the Gambling Act 2005, and that subsequent minor amendments to both policies have now been made.

The Committee considered the above report.

 

Mr. Foord provided a brief overview of the responses received during the ten week consultation period commencing on 28 June 2021 and concluding on 5September 2021.  Following the receipt of a small number of responses very minor changes have been made to the draft policies, which were detailed in the report.  The policies would be considered by Cabinet on 2 November for approval and referral to Council for adoption and publication.

 

Resolved

 

That the Alcohol and Entertainment Licensing Committee notes that a limited number of responses were received during the consultation period in respect of both the Draft Statement of Licensing Policy under the Licensing Act 2003 and Draft Statement of Policy under the Gambling Act 2005, and that subsequent minor amendments to both policies have now been made.

 

Recommended

 

That the Alcohol and Entertainment Licensing Committee recommends both draft Statements to Cabinet for their consideration.
