Electrical Repair and Maintenance Contract 2016-2021

The District Council has recently completed a European Union (EU) compliant procurement process to appoint an Electrical Contractor in full accordance with best practice recommendations of the Government Procurement Service.  This report recommends that the Council enter into a new 3 year agreement, with the option to extend for a further 2 years for electrical repair, inspection and maintenance work to commence on 1st May 2016 with the winning bidder.

This contract will ensure that the Council complies with its duty under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the Electrical Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations 2002 to manage its property assets in accordance with these regulations.

 

The Public are likely to be excluded from any discussion at which this report is considered on the grounds that it is likely that there would be a disclosure to the public of ‘exempt information’ of the description specified in Paragraph 3 (information relating to the business affairs of any person including the authority) of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972.
