Since 1 April 2012 the Council has been required by Section 38(1) of the Localism Act 2011 (the Act) to publish an annual pay policy statement concerning its statutory and non-statutory Chief Officers and their deputies. This statement must be approved by Full Council in accordance with guidance published by the Department for Communities and Local Government under s.40 of the Act.
