Rural Designations
It is recommended that the Council submits an application to the Department for Communities and Local Government for all rural parishes within the District to be designated as rural, under Section 157 of the Housing Act 1985. This will help the Council to both restrict the consequences of the Right to Buy and to seek affordable housing contributions.
