Chichester District Council expects to introduce its Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) in Autumn 2015. This has significant implications for how the Council plans for the delivery of infrastructure and secures contributions for infrastructure from development. This Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) sets out Chichester District Council’s proposed policy for securing developer contributions from new development that requires planning permission, and once adopted will be an important material consideration in determining planning applications. This document will be adopted as SPD at the same time as the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is adopted. It will replace ‘The Provision of Service Infrastructure Related to new Development in Chichester District’ adopted in December 2004.
