Born in St Richards Hospital and grew up in the Witterings, attending East Wittering Primary School then Bishop Luffa. Moved to Tangmere in 1986.
Served 30 years at sea as a Merchant Naval Deck Officer, working for the Ministry of Defence and P & O Ferries.
Now involved in residential property letting, acting as cricket groundsman at Tangmere and member of the Sussex Cricket League's Umpires Panel.
Elected onto Tangmere Parish Council in 2011 and in 2013 to serve on West Sussex County Council as Member for Chichester East Division. As a Councillor, concentrates on Development Planning and Infrastructure matters.
