I spent 37 years in the Royal Navy. The early part of my career as a Mechanical Engineer. Latterly, I had senior command posts, a job as Liaison Officer between the Royal Navy and universities, and served in the EU on the staff of NATO.
I am a published author on history, and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. Since retiring, I have served on the local Residents Association for our village, and am now the Chairman.
