Grant Applications Financial Summary

To note the financial information, fast track grants approved since the last meeting and any grants nearing the three year cut off.

 

Minutes:

The Panel considered the report. Mr Cooper drew attention to the value of the applications to be considered at the meeting and reminded the Panel that the budget would be a maximum of £175,000 for this year with £137,450 remaining.

 

The Panel noted the following fast track delegated grant applications decided since the last meeting:

Applicant:The Manhood Wildlife and Heritage Group (MWHG)

Priority: Improving Living Places and Spaces

Purpose: Contribution towards the cost of a hoggin path around the North, West and East sides of East Beach Pond

Sum Requested: £1,000

Sum Approved: £1,000

Reasons: The improvements will be of environmental benefit and will encourage greater community use of the area

Grant Conditions: Subject to a Funding Agreement

Purpose: Contribution towards the running of a support group for people affected by aphasia (a communication disorder or condition that makes it difficult to read, write or speak) in Chichester District

Reasons: Supporting a specialised support group

Reasons: The improvements are timely ahead of the community’s centenary commemoration and will benefit three parishes within the district

Purpose: Contribution towards the running costs of a social contact group for elderly residents of Parklands and surrounding areas in Chichester

Reasons: The group will provide social activity for both vulnerable and isolated residents
