Decision details

To note and endorse WSCC’s document ‘Breathing Better a partnership approach to improving air quality in West Sussex’ and the draft Terms of Reference for the proposed – and related - Inter-Authority Air Quality Group.

In partnership with the District and Borough Councils WSCC has worked up a document detailing their approach to tackling air pollution and improving air quality. The document details actions that are being undertaken by the District and Borough Councils and proposes an ‘Inter-authority Air Quality Group 2018’ in order to develop and deliver actions designed to improve air quality in West Sussex.

RESOLVED

(1)  That West Sussex County Council’s air quality plan ‘Breathing Better’ be endorsed.

(2)  That the draft terms of reference for the West Sussex County Council proposed Inter-Authority Air Quality Group be endorsed.

(3)  That Chichester District Council’s participation in the proposed West Sussex County Council Inter-Authority Air Quality Group be supported.
