Review of Street Trading controls in Chichester City Centre

Purpose:

Cabinet consider and agree for officers to review the existing restrictions in place for Chichester in relation changing the designation of certain 'prohibited streets’ to ‘consent streets’ following consultation with key stakeholders. Eventual resolution will be required from Council at its meeting on 28 January 2020.

Decision:

RESOLVED

 

That officers be authorised to undertake the necessary steps (as set out in paragraph 3.7 of the report) to vary the existing designation to further areas within Chichester City Centre pursuant to Paragraph 2 of Schedule 4 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 from prohibited streets to consent streets; and

 

RECOMMENDS TO COUNCIL

 

That following that process Council approves the redesignation.
