Discussions have been taking place with the Department of Culture, Media and Sports and a consortium of district and borough councils and West Sussex County Council to improve the speed of internet access to public buildings. The report will recommend that Chichester District Council progresses these discussions in relation to grant funding and commits along with other public sector partners to a 20-year lease of the fibre in the ground. There will be no additional revenue cost for this improved service.
