Contaminated Recycling Bin Policy

Purpose:

The Cabinet will be asked to approve the updated policy for responding to contaminated domestic recycling bins as endorsed by the Waste and Recycling Panel. The Cabinet will also be asked to give delegated authority to the Chichester Contract Services Service Manager for:

1. The issue of fixed penalty notices or other notices for waste and waste-receptacle related offences including (but not limited) to powers under the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 and sections 46A to 46D of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, (as amended).

RESOLVED

 

That the Contaminated Recycling Bin Policy as endorsed by the Waste and Recycling Panel be approved.

 

RECOMMENDED TO THE COUNCIL

 

That delegated authority be granted to the Chichester Contract Services Manager to issue fixed penalties or other notices for waste and waste-receptacle related offences including (but not limited to) powers under the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 and sections 46A to 46D of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (as amended).
